Hi there, I'm Jen, the founder of 2nd Ave Trading, your go-to destination for preloved fashion in Ireland. I started this business in January 2024 and it has been such an incredible journey so far!

While my academic background lies in primary school teaching, my passion for fashion and sustainable practices grew while living in New Zealand.

In January 2022 I started working full time managing a consignment store in New Zealand, selling gorgeous quality preloved fashion - that gave me a great insight into all that is involved in running an online business.

I saw first hand the need this business concept had for women who wanted to sell their quality clothing without the hassle of selling it themselves and for women who wanted to shop online with a curated second hand store that they trusted. I gained a greater insight in the value this concept had in keeping clothing in circulation and reducing the demand for new clothing production.

With 2nd Ave Trading, I would like to show that there is another avenue to fashion, that we can redefine the way we approach our wardrobes. The goal is to make second hand fashion an exciting way to shop and refresh our wardrobes whilst facilitating a circular fashion economy.

My own wardrobe reflects my love for preloved pieces, and I'm excited to watch 2nd Ave Trading continue to grow and reach more women around Ireland in shopping and selling second hand.
